Tea Fannings are the smallest leftover pieces of Tea leaves that are produced during processing of the Tea leaves.
You may also call it the lowest grade Tea because of its low nutritional content and high caffiene value.
Every Tea variety leaves fannings after the processing, be it green Tea or black Tea. Moreover, the largest consumption of Tea form across India is in form of Tea fannings only.
Tea fannings cost much less in comparison to the whole leaf or broken leaf teas which are considered the premium Tea and hence the fannings become the product of mass consumption.
